About the Bois de Vincennes
Bois de Vincennes is a gigantic yet enchanting public park just outside of Paris. There are hotels within reasonable distance, some even in walking distance. Larger than Central Park or Hyde Park, once this noble forest park was the hunting grounds of the king of France. Today, it is shared with everyone who enjoys sports, gardens, horses, river boating, elephants and the renaissance.
Bois de Vincennes is located just southeast outside downtown Paris. Other places of interest for those on foot are the Bastille Opera, the Louvre Museum, Parc Floral de Paris (a convention center in the middle of the park), Place de Nation, Gare de Lyon is the closest tain station with minutes access to the downtown quarter.
