Downtown Prague consists of five historical towns: the Castle District,
the Malá Strana (the lesser town), Josefov (the Jewish quarter), Staré
Męsto ( the Old Town) and Nové Męsto (the New Town). When you reserve

in one of these former towns as most of the city’s sights and attractions
are located in these districts.
The international airport of Prague, Ruzyně, is situated about
10 km (6 mi) northwest of the city centre. There are minibuses (operated
by Cedaz) running from the airport to city centre (Náměstí Republiky)
and if you pay a bit extra, they drop you off at your hotel. A cheaper
option is to take a bus (check for timetables at the airport information
office) in combination with Prague’s superb subway system or a tram.
Prague's historical centre is best explored by foot, with the help
of cheap, widespread public transportation. If you take a taxi, we advise
you to go for a radio taxi to reduce the risk of inflated fares.
