About Davos
As the largest ski resort in Switzerland, Davos is a major tourist
destination in Switzerland. With a population of 13,000 inhabitants, the
highest city in Europe can accommodate an additional 25,000 tourists and

parts: Davos Platz and Davos Dorf.
A relative young ciy, Davos was founded in the mid 19th century as a
healing center for patients suffering from tuberculosis. The dry and healthy
climate on the top of Alps was considered to have a curing effect on the
patients. Davos is not a very charming city in the sense of wooden chalets
and historical attractions, though, the city is well-equipped to give you a
lot of comfort and entertainment.
The city has gained international esteem for hosting a variety of
congresses and international in its huge congress center. highlight of the
year is the annual World Economic Forum that attracts many political leaders
and celebreties to Davos.
