Located in the state of Illinois on the southern tip of Lake Michigan, Chicago is an important transit and economical hub in the centre of the USA. Also a stroll in one of the lakeside parks should not be missed out upon visiting the Windy City. At night, the city offers a wide variety of bars, great restaurants and entertainment. The unrivalled tradition of the city in Jazz and Blues music makes it a true pilgrimage place for music lovers.
Although it is disputed that Chicago’s nickname “Windy city” has anything to do with the often fierce and cold winds blowing into the city from Lake Michigan, if your stay in Chicago is planned outside summertime, you better dress well as temperatures can go way below zero here!
